Sewell Moore

Waynesville�Sewell Moore, age 81, died Friday, November 16, 2007 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Homer and Cora Mayfield Moore. He was also preceded in death by his wife Vivian who died in 1996. Sewell was employed by Dayco Corporation for 35 years. He was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by three sons, Steve Moore and his wife, Glenda of Waynesville, Dean Moore of Lawrenceville, GA and Rob Moore and his wife, Vicki of Hendersonville; four sisters, Lavona Rhinehart and her husband, Ralph, Edna Glavish and Shirley Sentelle and her husband, Bill, all of Waynesville and Carolyn Pressley and her husband, Ronnie of Cullowhee; three brothers, Winston Moore and his wife, Evelyn of Enka, Paul Moore and his wife, Zola of Canton and Brenes Moore of Waynesville, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Allens Creek Baptist Church, 549 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
