Scott Rathbone

Waynesville, Kevin Scott Rathbone, age 46, passed away at The Homestead after an extended illness. A native of Haywood County, he is the son of David Hugh, Sr. and Janice Sheehan Rathbone. Scott was the proud owner of a welding/machine shop and was self-employed for 15 years. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kristy Williams Rathbone; six sons, Kaleb Rathbone and his wife, Christa of Waynesville, Kevin, Kristopher, Kolton, Klint and Kameron Rathbone all of the home; two sisters, Melissa Massie and her husband, Matthew and Brenda Carver and her husband, Grady all of Waynesville; two brothers, David Rathbone, Jr. of Waynesville and Tom Rathbone and his wife, Jennifer, of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Hannah Rathbone and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Gibson and Preacher Kaleb Rathbone officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
