Roy Smith

Canton-Roy Earl Smith, age 82 died Monday, November 15, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the son of the late James Robert and Margaret Thomason Smith. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Zeb, Guy and Dan and sisters, Anna Bell and Clara Jean and a niece Vicki. He is survived by his sister-in-law Frankie T. Smith, nieces Jane, Shirley, Susie, Diane, Donna and Theresa, nephews Michael Zeb, Terry, Keith and David and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
