Robert Brantley

Fines Creek, Robert Eugene "Gene" Brantley, age 74, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Scott B. and Inez Jackson Brantley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Timothy R. Brantley and a brother, Ronald B. Brantley. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Gene was a real estate broker/agent of Cliffview Properties and had owned a wholesale nursery. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon Johnson Brantley; three sons, Robert Jackson of MS, Robert A. Brantley and wife, Bo-Kyung, of Onalaska, WI and Patrick E. Brantley of Albany, GA; two daughters, Shandra Jackson of MS and Patricia McLeandon of PA; one brother, Scott B. Brantley of Midland, TX; one uncle, Dr. Maurice Brantley and his wife, Edna, of Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Also survived by Mindy Sue, Susie, and Mickey, all special friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Fines Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. Interment will be at Ponceannah Cemetery in Paisley, Florida. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
