PAUL J. JOHNSON Waynesville-Paul J. Johnson, age 66, of 522 Chestnut Park Drive, died on Sunday, march 26, 2006 at his residence. He was a native of Haywood County who was employed as a truck driver for various companies. He loved watching nature. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Louise Downs Johnson; two daughters, Paula Warren of Waynesville and Christy Keith of SC; one stepdaughter, Donna Carver, of Maggie Valley; one son, Lonnie Johnson, of Waynesville; three stepsons, Ricky and Steven Cagle of Maggie Valley and Charles Phillips of Waynesville; one sister, Dora Creason, of Waynesville; one brother, William Johnson; five grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Cagle, Andrew Carver, Carroll Grooms, Eric Johnson, Matthew Sutton, and Shannon Evans. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
