Onley Pressley

Candler, Onley Pressley, age 81, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Grace Healthcare in Asheville. He was the son of the late Walter and Alma Harrell Pressley and was also preceded in death by 6 brothers, Belton, Virgil, Marlin, Vance, Landy and Lloyd Pressley. Onley retired from American Enka with 30 years of service and was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He is survived by two daughters, Joy Pressley Henderson of Candler and Stephanie Mull of Marion; one sister, Ethel McElrath of Taylors, SC; one brother, William Calvin "Bill" Pressley of West Asheville; a close nephew, Bill Pressley of Candler; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Private services will be held at a later date. Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Canton are in charge of arrangements.
