Mildred Henderson

Mildred Burke Henderson, age 91, formerly of Mountain View Apartments died Wednesday, February 03, 2010, at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dovie Gaddy Burke. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Henderson. She retired from American Enka with 20 years of service and was a member of North Canton Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Joseph W. "Joe" Henderson and his wife, Janie, of Canton and Larry Henderson and his wife, Nancy, of Calimesa, CA; two daughters, Brenda Lynch and her husband, Bob, of Charlotte and Barbara Thomason of Canton; two sisters, Virginia Harbin of Canton and Margaret Warren of Brevard; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010, at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery with the Reverend Mark Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton.
