Mary Davis

MARY DAVIS Lake Junaluska, Mary Rogers Davis, age 87, formerly of Harrell Drive, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Haywood Lodge. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Cauley and Ruth Ferguson Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T. Frank Davis, who died in 1997; one daughter, Susan Davis Stewart; one son, Michael Frank Davis; two sisters, Edith Ferguson and Pauline Clement; and one brother, Kenneth Rogers. Mary enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville. She is survived by one sister, Bly Cathey, of Atlanta GA; two brothers, Paul and Bill Rogers, both of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Kristina De La Cruz, and her husband, Anastacio, of Waynesville; and two great grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan De La Cruz. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Burnette officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
