Margaret Hall

August 19, 1915 — May 23, 2006

Margaret Haynes Hall, age 90, formerly Caring Place Loop, died on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Stroud Nursing Home in Marietta, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late W.V. and Georgia Cockrell Haynes, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Oscar Hall, who died in 1998; one son, Alan Duane Hall, one grandson, Duane Coleman Hall; one sister, Francis Patrick, and one brother, W.V. Haynes, Jr. She worked in the cafeteria at North Canton Elementary School and volunteered in both the Haywood County Hospital and Civil Defense. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Clyde First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She is survived by one son, Ronald "Ronnie" Hall and his wife, Nina, of Greer, SC; two sisters, Alta "Billie" Davis of Asheville and Janell Rathbone of Clyde; a granddaughter, Rhonda Hall Cartee, of Greer, SC and a grandson, Dr. John Lane Hall, of Pacifica, CA. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2006 in the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James Parham and Reverend W.O. Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bon-A-Venture Cemetery Fund, 32 Rhoda Street, Canton, NC 28716 or First Baptist Church of Clyde, 227 Main Street, Clyde, NC 28721.
