Mack Trull

MACK TRULL Waynesville-Mack Trull, age 54, of 87 5th Street, died Monday, October 04, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the Pauline Grooms of Canton and the late Thomas Calvin Trull. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Trull. He was a disabled Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a purple heart recipient. He was a member of the VFW and a lifetime member of the DAV. He loved Nascar, fishing, and camping and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cheryl Bliss Trull; a daughter, Carey Lynn Raines of Raleigh; four sons, Shane Trull and his wife, Wendy, of Waynesville, Jason Bettini and his wife, Jennifer, of Inman, SC, and Travis and Cody Trull of Waynesville; three sisters, Evelyn McFalls and Jean Cagle of Waynesville, and Joyce Dills of Asheville; two brothers, Don Trull of Waynesville and Larry Trull of Canton; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Bethel Baptist Church with Reverends Roy and Ryan Kilby officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 5202 and American Legion Post 47. Pallbearers will be Billy Shumway, Gary Lanning, Wayne Cole, Derrick Russell, and Greg Hannah. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Moody and Harold McClure. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
