Larry Sprinkle

Waynesville, Lawrence Arnold "Larry" Sprinkle, age 73, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015. A native of Newport, Kentucky and former resident of Northern Kentucky, he resided in Port Saint Lucie, Florida and Waynesville, North Carolina. Larry was a proud employee of United Parcel Service (UPS) and retired as Division Manager in 1995 after 33 years of service. Larry was an avid bass fisherman, golfer and model train enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling the world and cheering for his beloved Kentucky Wildcats. Larry will be remembered as a proud and loving husband, father and grandpa. Larry is survived by his wife of nine years, Janice Hamlin Sprinkle, of Smith, Kentucky; a daughter, Kimberly Harris of Cold Spring, Kentucky; sons, Lawrence "Todd" Sprinkle and his wife, Carolina, of Independence, Kentucky and John Scott Sprinkle, of Alexandria, Kentucky; step-daughters, Angela Pugh Veres of Asheville and Laura Turner and her husband, Christopher, of Clyde; sisters, Carol Mattingly and Debbie Lewis, both of Jacksonville, Florida; the mother of his children, Carol Ann Sprinkle; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend John Swanger, III officiating. A graveside service followed at Hensley Cemetery in Kentucky with Reverend Perry Long officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A special thanks to Mt.
