Katherine King

Waynesville, NC-Katherine King Allison, age 64, wife of Robert Allison of 209 Bridgewood Avenue, Taylors, SC, died May 25, 2006. Born in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of Maude Silver King and the late Marvin King. Mrs. Allison was a graduate of Enka High School and Furman University, and retired Records Specialist with the State of South Carolina Health Department. She was a member of Edwards Road Baptist Church in Greenville, SC and former member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville, NC. Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Teresa Allison of Waynesville, NC, and Kevin and Rose Allison of Greer; two brothers, Bruce King of Asheville, NC, and David King of Peoria, IL; and a grandson, Joshua Allison. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
