Johnny Miller

Maggie Valley, Johnny Mack Miller, age 63, of Straight-Up Road, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Sam and Katie Rathbone Miller and was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Moody Miller, who died in 2010, and one sister, Vena Mae Carver. Johnny was a heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his family and friends and also enjoyed hunting and gardening. He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Ammons, of Maggie Valley and Lori Moody of West Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters, Myrtle Sutton of Maggie Valley and Geneva Munn of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Willie Miller of Maggie Valley and Sammy Miller of Georgia; two granddaughters, Noelle Henson and Megan Trull; and two great grandchildren, Izzy and Ellie Henson. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
