Jennifer Sheets

Jennifer Sheets, age 26, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at Oconee Medical Center after a lengthy battle with kidney disease. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Steve and Tammy Smathers McCall. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eugene Mintz; maternal grandmother, Inice Wheeler Smathers; and aunt, Alana Gibson. Jennifer was known for her love of children and dogs. Her nieces and nephews were her sunshine. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Keith and Lorena Smathers of Canton; paternal grandmother, Josephine Mintz of Waynesville; paternal step-grandmother, Vena Rhodes McCall of Canton; one sister, Keitha Mintz of Canton; two brothers, Cody Dale Mintz of Westminster, SC and Travis E. Mintz of Mills River; a step-sister, Stephanie Davis; and a step-brother, Justin McCall all of Canton. She was aunt Jen-Jen to three nieces, Diamond "Sissy", Ember, and Kendal and four nephews, Dakota "Bug", Jonathan "J-Man", Brody, and Cameron. Her best friends were Jacinda Frizzell and Rodney. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Putnam and the Reverend Dan Page officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 419 S.
