Jennie Boyd

Maggie Valley, Tessie "Jennie" Virginia Polk Boyd, age 82, of Molly Lane, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. Jennie was a native of Marvel, Arkansas, and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Audie Laverne Berry Polk. She is survived by her husband, John L. Boyd of Maggie Valley; a sister, Ola Belle Dennison, of San Angelo, Texas; four half brothers, and two half sisters. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Buddy Corbin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Waynesville.
