Jean Crago

Waynesville, Jean Elizabeth Thompson Crago, age 84, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of J. Dwight and Ethel Madeline Reid Thompson. Jean served in the Navy Nurse Corps as an Ensign from 1955-1957. Throughout her life, Jean worked as a registered nurse and was very devoted to her career and caring for those she served. She was also active as a Girl Scout leader and was a volunteer for Haywood Christian Ministries and The Good Samaritan Clinic. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Crago; a daughter, Beth Williams and her husband, Donald, of Clyde; a son, David Crago and his wife, Cheryl, of Enon, Ohio and two grandchildren, Marc Crago and his wife, Amanda and Michael Crago. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Faith United Methodist Church.
