James Warren

Waynesville-James Michael Warren, age 46, of Walnut Holler Drive, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Claude Warren, Jr. and Jacqueline Gibson Warren of the Bethel Community. He was a fireman for the Town of Waynesville for the past 25 years and was serving as Captain. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as Sunday-School teacher and media technician and participated in World Changers missions. He handcrafted and played fiddles and enjoyed his woodworking. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debbie McFalls Warren; two daughters, Rachel and Hannah Warren, of the home; two sisters, Nancy Anner and Jonina O'Neil of Florida; and one brother, Bruce Warren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby and Reverend David Janey. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Nichols, Charlie Wright, Archie Shuler, Warren Putnam, Shannon Morgan, Mike Lintz, Allen Stewart, Dee Massey, and Chris Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan and Sam Warren, Bill Fowler, Joey Webb, Sr., and Bill Hollingsed. Memorials may be made to the Waynesville Fireman's Association, 21 S. Main Street, Waynesville, NC 28786 or the American Cancer Society, 90 Stiles Road, Canton, NC 28786.
