James Clark

August 8, 1928 — October 21, 2005

Waynesville-James Luke (Teaberry) Clark, age 77, of Maxima Lane, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Harley C. and Nora Messer Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eula Setzer and Hilda Bishop. He was owner/operator of Smoky Mountain and Waynesville Drive-ins for forty years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Cline Clark; two sisters, Wilena Phillips and Sue Keziah, both of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Ingle officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Eddie Bishop, Mike Frady, DeWayne Maney, Ray Banks, and R.L and A.J. Brown.
