James Funk

Waynesville, James "Jim" Funk, age 69, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his residence. Jim was born in Ramsey County, Minnesota where he lived most of his life before moving to Haywood County in 2002 after retirement from Xcel Energy of Minnesota. He was the son of the late Fred Rudolph and Shirley Ruth Cummings Funk. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Florence Funk; one sister, Carol Mattson and her husband, Don of Washington; two brothers, Tom Funk and his wife, Alexis of Hot Springs, AR and Ed Funk and his wife, Deb of Minneapolis, MN; mother-in-law, Lee Naidyhorski of Mora, MN; sister-in-law, Evie Pedersen of Hugo, MN; five nephews, Jacob, Eric, Brian, Craig and Ben and three nieces, Chrissy, CC, Amy, and very special niece, Liberty Caroon and her family of Stillwater, MN.
