Homer Trantham

September 6, 1911 — November 8, 2006

Clyde-Homer Trantham, age 95, of 3759 Max Patch Road, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Thomas Scott and Ellen Russell Trantham and was also preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Beasley Trantham, who died on April 17, 2006, and was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Trantham. He is survived by a son, Edwin Trantham and his wife, Juanita, of Clyde; two grandchildren, Lee Trantham and wife, Belinda, and Linda Trantham, both of Clyde; four great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home Reverend Carl Chastain and Reverend Johnny Swanger officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
