Henry Lee

Henry Lee, age 64, of Spruce Street died Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Virgil Cecil and Annie Green Lee. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie Dee Lee. He was employed with Champion International working in maintenance. Henry enjoyed lake and fly fishing. He was also active in coaching the Canton Youth and Lake Junaluska Youth football teams. He loved watching his "Duke Blue Devils", but more importantly spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by a son, Chad R. Lee and his wife, Normaree Harris-Lee of Asheville, two sisters, Edna Leatherwood and her husband, William and Claudia Maxine Seay and her husband, David, all of Canton; a brother, Cecil Lee and his wife, Claudia, of Clyde; and three grandchildren, Joevell, Brooklyn, and Cameron Lee. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Martin Worley, Reverend Ronnie Pittman, and Reverend Mike Barbee officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
