Gregory Norsworthy

Waynesville-George Gregory Norsworthy, age 48, of 726 Red Maple Drive, died on Monday, July 10, 2006 at his residence. A native of West Palm Beach, FL, he had lived in North Carolina for the past 20 years. He was the son of George and Eva Norsworthy. He was a self-employed contractor and was of the Native faith. He loved reading, art, writing and the outdoors. He was an active member of Celebrate Recovery Group. In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife, Keeper of the Birds; a sister, Andrea Bischof and husband, Robert, of Austin, TX; two brothers, Col. David W. Norsworthy and wife, Vicky, of Mac Dill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL and Chief Master Sergeant, Michael R. Norsworthy and wife, Karen, of RAF Lakenheath Air Force Base in the United Kingdom; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2006 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Linwood Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
