Felbert Revis

Candler-Felbert Revis, age 89, of WNC Baptist Camp Road, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. Felbert was a native of Haywood County, he had lived in Buncombe for the past 35 years. He was the son of the late Jess and Reldy Rogers Revis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Sparks Revis, who died in 1996; a son James "JB" Revis who, passed away in 2006 and three brothers, Walter, Jerry and Jess Jr. Revis. He was a United States Army Veteran. Felbert was a diesel mechanic and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by a daughter, Betty Burress and her husband, Edward, of Candler; a sister, Portia Gordon and her husband, Eddie, of Saluda, NC; two brothers, Posey Revis of Hendersonville, NC and David Revis of New Port, Tennessee; five grandchildren; six great-grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Pisgah View Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel.
