Faye Phillips

Candler---Faye Smothers Phillips, age 69, of Luther Road died on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at her residence. A native of Irdell County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Smothers and Eva Shook Smothers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George David Phillips who died in 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Sloan; one son, Richard Lamb and wife, Tammy of Oak Ridge, NC; one brother, Ray Moore of Cary, NC; two grandchildren, Jessica Callicutt and Andy Sloan ; one great-grandchild, Hunter Callicutt, and two step-grandchildren, Ashley and Blake Harwell. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February, 24, 2007 at Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church with the Reverend Matt Rampey officiating. In lieu on flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church, 1 Fairmont Road, Candler, NC 28715
