Everette Frady

Waynesville, Everette Frady, age 88 of Frady Lane, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of the late Joseph Liner and Mary Forga Frady. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Frady who died in 1971; two sisters, Willie Mae Palmer and Betty Lou Frady and one brother, Logan Frady. He retired from Enka as a millwright with 28 years of service. After his retirement, he went to work for DSS for five years and Ingles for four years. Everette was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Waynesville, an Army veteran of WWII and member of the VFW Post 5202. He enjoyed NASCAR and working in his yard. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie Shultz Frady, one daughter, Phyllis Frady Rogers and her husband Tony of McDonough, GA; one sister, Polly Frady Haney of Waynesville; one brother, J. L. Frady of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Donnie Rogers and his wife Emily and Kevin Rogers and his wife Valerie and 4 great-grandchildren; McKenzie, Aidan, Ocean and Lochlin Rogers and one due in October. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Richard Grob and Richard Overcash will officiate. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday night at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Shultz, Donnie Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Tony Rogers, Mike Russell and Eugene Christopher. Gene Christopher will serve as honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 100 Counsel Place, Waynesville, NC 28786.
