Evangeline Webb

Waynesville, Evangeline Webb, age 61, of 65 Church Street, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at The Homestead. A native of High Point, she was the daughter of Cilas Webb and Ola Thompson and was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Wiggins. Evangeline loved the fall and winter seasons. She enjoyed walking in the decorated malls and playing Bible jumbo. She was an avid NASCAR fan and cheered for any driver besides Tony Stewart. She attended First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. She is survived by her husband of four years, Curtis Gatewood; two sons, Gerald Wayne Pearce II and Jerry Dwayne Pearce; three sisters, Robin Meadows of Washington, and Linda Webb and Karen Ring, both of Asheville; six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Waynesville.
