Earl Wease

August 14, 1918 — July 1, 2005

Earl Wease, age 86, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. He was the son of the late George Washington and Rachel Barbara Vaughn Wease. He is preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Mr. Wease was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army. He was employed at Springdale Country Club for 35 years and was a member of the advisory board of the Cruso Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his family, Eddie, Donna and Levi Henson, of Canton; Martha and Gary Buss and Linda and Allen Sneed, both of Fl. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 4, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Paul Carden officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 5202, American Legion #47. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2005 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are as follows: Daryl Henderson, Danny Wheeler, Jim Webb, Chad Plemmons, Teddy Inman, Jr., and Tom Alexander. Memorials may be made to the Cruso Fire Department, C/O Clarence Morrow, 73 Sharp Mountain Road, Canton, NC 28716.
