Doris Warren

Hendersonville, Doris Stepp Warren, age 78, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Park Ridge Health. A native of Haywood County, she resided in Hendersonville for 46 years. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Nellie Rogers Stepp and was also preceded in death by both of her husbands, Glenn Reece and Arthur Warren, as well as four brothers. Doris loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, canning, reading cook books and had a beautiful rose garden. Doris is survived by a daughter, Jannette Corn; three sons, Ralph Reece, Todd Warren and his wife, Stacie, and Christopher Ellis, all of Hendersonville; three sisters, Gleneva Warren of the Cruso Community and Jenny Seay and Gladys Frizzell, both of Rutherfordton; a brother, Douglas Stepp, of Lexington, North Carolina; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Stepp officiating. Burial will follow at Inman Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be A.J. and Alvert Mills, Jamie and James Newman, Eddie Metcalf, Trey Glover, Justin Fohman and Nathan Riddle. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. on Monday prior to services at the funeral home.
