Dean Surrett

February 21, 1973 — September 9, 2003

Clyde-Dean Surrett, age 30, of 7558 Panther Creek Road, died Tuesday, September 9, 2003.

A native of Haywood County, he was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He loved hunting and horseback riding.

He is survived by his father, Arlie D. Surrett, of Hickory and his mother Kay Stiles Surrett of Clyde; a sister, Devon Teaster, of Clyde; and two brothers, Phillip Surrett of Waynesville and Dallas Surrett of Clyde.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at White Oak Baptist Church with Reverend John Allen and Reverend Ronald Allen officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2003 at White Oak Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 6:00 p.m. and remain until service time. Pallbearers will be Rodney Moore, Allen McFalls, Rick Swanger, Doyle Sutton, Brad Frazier, and Roger Warlic.

Memorials may be made to the Dean Surrett Fund, c/o Wells Funeral Home, 296 North Main Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
