David Sutton

February 23, 1933 — May 24, 2010

Cruso, David Sutton, age 77, of Arrowwood Way, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Brian Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Jesse and Ruby Fore Sutton and was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a brick mason, and of the Baptist faith. David enjoyed working outdoors, especially in his flowers and loved to fish. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Sutton; two daughters, Reneé Kuykendall and her husband, David, of the Cruso Community and Denise Sutton of Waynesville; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Edwards. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Burgess, Greg Grindstaff, Ronnie Burgess, Ricky Kirkpatrick, Jamie Thibodeaux, and Daniel Edwards. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Relay for Life of Haywood County, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
