David Sheehan

Waynesville, William David Sheehan, age 66, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at The Homestead. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William Tyler and Annie Robena Williams Sheehan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Sheehan, who passed away in 2011; one sister, Betty S. Gaddis; and one brother, Marvin Bruce Sheehan, Sr. David was an independent truck driver. He loved being with his family and friends and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by a daughter, Ann Sheehan, of Waynesville; two sons, Bo Sheehan and his wife, Sara, of Waynesville and Chris Sheehan and his wife, Misty, of Canton; one sister, Margaret Moody and her husband, Eugene, of Waynesville; two brothers, Charles Sheehan his wife, Nadine, of Dillsboro and Carroll Sheehan and his wife, Linda, of Waynesville; two sister-in-laws, Claudette Allison and Stephanie St. Pierre; a brother-in-law, Lewis Allison and his wife, Lisa; five grandchildren, Trey Sheehan, Adam and Megan Hardesty, and Kayla and Lacey Meadows; two great-grandchildren, Nala Meadows and Allison Vogan; many nieces and nephews; and "Harley" his faithful companion. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Maurice Sheehan officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times, at the home of Bo and Sara Sheehan.
