David Hensley

June 5, 1966 — August 9, 2012

Clyde, David Lee "Maybird" Hensley, age 46, went to his heavenly home to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on August 9, 2012. A native of Bell County, Kentucky, he was the son of Mary Sue Hensley of Siler, Kentucky and the late Wayne Hensley. He was also preceded in death by a grandmother-in-law, Mae Ferguson. He was a former employee of Southern Concrete and a self-employed truck driver. David was kind-hearted and loved spending time with his family. He also loved listening to God's word, and riding his Harley. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Ferguson Hensley; four daughters, Rachelle Ferguson, Katie Ferguson, Michaela "Worm" Hensley, and Haley "Lee Lee" Hensley, all of Clyde; two sisters, Jackie "Sis" Lefevers and her husband, Keith, of Pineville, Kentucky and Marilyn Knowles and her husband, Bill, of Siler, Kentucky; one brother, Tommy Hensley, also of Siler, Kentucky; special angel, Martha Ferguson; many special nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, Riley and Evan Smith; and a host of other family and special friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend John Willis and Reverend Jeremy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and at other times, at the residence.
