Darrell Rogers

Waynesville, Jimmie Darrell Rogers, age 55, of Destiny Road, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Colene Phillips Rogers and the late Thomas Rogers. Darrell enjoyed woodworking and was employed at Lea Industries for 24 years and at Milkco for the last five years. In addition to his mother, Darrell is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debra Jenkins Rogers; a daughter, Selena Faw (Wesley) of Cameron, North Carolina; sisters, Janice Leming of Clyde and Rhonda Griffin (Lonnie) of Waynesville; brothers, Perry Rogers (Brenda) and Bobby Rogers (Robin) of Waynesville and Allen Rogers (Brenda Moore) of Clyde; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
