Clifford Wilson

Clifford Wilson, age 86, of 699 Justice Ridge Road, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at John F. Keever Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Edwin and Anna Detheridge Wilson. He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. Clifford retired from Champion International with 45 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gladys Clark Wilson; one sister, Evelyn Laird of Trenton, NJ and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Claude Surrett officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mack Woody, friend and neighbor, and nephews.
