Bud Rhinehart

Sylva/Waynesville, Wade "Bud" Rhinehart, age 79, died on Monday, February 07, 2011 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Richard and Janie Hance Rhinehart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Buchanan Rhinehart, who died in 2004; an infant son, Bobby Joe Rhinehart; a daughter-in-law, Helen Rhinehart; one brother, Kenneth Rhinehart, Sr.; and one sister, Wilma Henry. He retired from Lea Industries with 42 years service and was a member of Scott's Creek Baptist Church. Bud was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed gardening up until his retirement. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and loved them dearly. He is survived by three sons, Ronald Rhinehart of Etowah, North Carolina, Donald Rhinehart and his wife, June, and Tim Rhinehart and his wife, Linda, all of Waynesville; one daughter, Wanda Jo Lagasse and her husband, Jeff, of Charlotte; two stepchildren, Reverend Mike Moore and his wife, Dot, of Whittier, and Brenda Bradsher and her husband, Gene, of Seneca, South Carolina; one sister, Dixie Page, of Waynesville; one brother, Clyde Rhinehart and his wife, Mary, of Waynesville; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Scott's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Lee, Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart, Reverend Steve Rhinehart, and Reverend Mike Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Old Savannah Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark, Keith, Nathan, Will, and Justin Rhinehart, Greg Bradsher, Kent Moore, Larry Phillips, and Rick and Levi Caldwell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times at the home of his granddaughter at 19 Spruce Street in Waynesville.
