Blake Zimmerman

Waynesville, Eric Blake Zimmerman, age 58, of Suyeta Drive, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Bob Zimmerman and Hallie Shelton Stinnette (Shuler) and also preceded in death by stepfather, Oscar Shuler; niece, Morina Michelle Stinnette; two brothers, Bill Stinnette and David Shuler; brother-in-law, Wesley Yarbrough; two great nephews, Cole and Cade Smith. Blake was employed in the Central Sterilzation Department of Haywood Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital for 20 plus years and also served on the board of St. Joseph Hospital during his employment there. He was an excellent artist and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by a sister, Donna Yarbrough, of Waynesville; two brothers, Wayne Stinnette and wife, Mary, of Waynesville and Doug Stinnette and his wife, Willene, of Pine Mountain, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Perry Hines and Mindy Rathbone officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until the time of service.
