Betty King

Clyde- Betty Ferguson King - age 73 of Lee Road died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Madison County and a daughter of the late Richard Pearson and Mae Belle Ferguson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Paxton; three brothers, Jack, Guy and Joe "Bud" Ferguson, and two sisters, Jeanette Perdue and Margaret Gunde. In Betty's spare time, she loved to crochet. She is survived by one daughter, Eva Loreman and her husband, Larry, of Topeka, Kansas; two sons, Terry Paxton and his wife, Annette, and Ricky Paxton, and his wife, Gail, all of Canton; four sisters, Lucy Hardy, of Maryland, Blanche Rogers, Annie Mae Garnes, and Martha Ferguson, all of Clyde; one brother, Bob Ferguson, of Clyde; four grandchildren, Amanda Loreman Biery, Melody Suttles, Joshua Loreman and Steven Booking; three great-grandchildren; and a number of special nieces and nephews including a special great niece, Katy Hensley. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 90 Stiles Road, Canton, NC 28716.
