Adam Guy

Waynesville, Adam Guy, age 73, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Macon County, NC but had lived most of his life in Haywood County. Adam retired from the Town of Waynesville and he Tannery. He enjoyed working in his garden and being in the the company of his friends. He loved his grandchildren and family dearly. He is survived by four sons; William "Bill" Guy and his wife, Ethel, of Waynesville, Paul Henry Churchwell of Leicester, NC, Ken Guy of Florida and James Guy of Asheville, NC; one daughter, Mary Fowler and her husband, Sherman, of Sylva, NC; an aunt, Jesse Nell Blythe, of Franklin; and special friends, Sarah Gray and Edith "Granny" Caldwell, both of Waynesville; two brother-in-laws, Tommy Churchwell of Waynesville and Jesse Churchwell of Muller, SC; two grandchildren, Crystal Wright and DeRon Fowler; and two great-grandchildren, Jaya and Jamya Jefferson. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Bryson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of son, Bill Guy, 89 Babb Street, Waynesville.
