"Loving Mother and Friend to Many"

Waynesville, Sue Mason Robinson, 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her residence.

Sue was born in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Harry and Edna Barnes Mason and was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Mason and grandson, Ryan Lee Robinson. Sue retired from Evergreen Packaging after more than 40 years employment. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She volunteered for the Haywood County Sherriff’s Office and The Homestead. Her work family was very important to her and she was lovingly referred to as “Maw Sue.”

Sue is survived by a daughter, Sharon Robinson, of Sylva; two sons, Dwayne Robinson and wife, Brenda, of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Walter Robinson and his wife, Christy, of Sweetwater, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Trista, Spenser, Tyler, Lucas, Jessie and Hallie; and four great-grandchildren, Carter, Lakyn, Rayden and Gannon.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15 at Grandview Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Willett officiating. Serving as her honorary pallbearers will be the No. 19 Machine Crew at Evergreen Packaging. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 31 College Place, Suite 307, Asheville, NC 28801.
