Reid Owens

"1940 ~ 2018"

Canton - Walter Reid Owens, 77, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Adam Reid and Nellie Marie Lee Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Owens Clinton; and a brother, Thomas Owens. Reid enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family.

He is survived by one daughter, Terri Lynn Owens of Waynesville; one sister, Kathleen Holst of Missouri; one brother, Paul Owens of Clyde; and four grandchildren; Lily, Brantley, and Matthew Clinton and Jonah Knowles..

A Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Canton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
