Obituary for Keith Conner

"Loving Son and Brother"

Waynesville, Keith Conner, age 60, of Hall Top Road, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Carolina Healthcare.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Annie Smith Conner and the late Floyd Conner and also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Carroll Beck. Keith was owner of Conner’s Garage and a member of Barberville Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf, radio controlled car racing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by five sisters, Joyce Beck of Balsam, Katherine Cochran (Charlie), Martha Smith (Thomas) of Waynesville, Mary Cogdill (Robert) of Canton, Libbie Shelton (Ricky) of Waynesville, and; five brothers, Steve Conner (Jean), Floyd Conner, Jr. (Cathy), John Conner (Tanya), Don Conner (Thomasine) and Michael Conner, all of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Marvin Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
