"1953 ̶ 2017"

Waynesville, Jennifer Frankland Sink, age 64, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 in her North Carolina Home.

A native of Tampa, Florida she was the daughter of the late Robert Perry Frankland and Sara Jane Starrett. Jenn was born and raised in Tampa and graduated from Plant High School. She was a dental hygienist before dedicating her life to raising her children. In 1990, she and her family decided to move to North Carolina where Jenn spent many childhood summers. She was passionate about being up in the mountains and made a wonderful life in Waynesville, at one point running a vineyard and winery with Jim. Her greatest joy was living at "The Barn" and entertaining friends and family who would come to visit. All that knew her would agree she was a consummate host and a fantastic cook. Her spaghetti sauce and sweet garlic pickle recipes are tantamount to legend. It was her pleasure to make sure her guests were comfortable, had full stomachs and enjoyed spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, James Sink (Jim); son, G. J. Minardi, and his wife, Dorimar, daughter, Sara Sink, son, Perry Sink; sister, Winn Frankland; brother Howard Frankland; "GiGi" as she was known by her grandchildren, loved her three little girls, Leia (6), Ellie (4) and Addison (2).

The family will conduct private ceremonies in Waynesville and Tampa to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.

Jenn, Mom, GiGi…you will always be loved by your family and our comfort is that now you are in peace.
