Frances Johnson

Canton - Frances Woody Johnson, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Folsom Davis Woody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Etheridge Johnson, who passed away in 2015. Frances was a volunteer at Haywood Regional Medical Center for over 20 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathi Lance (Gary) of Missouri and Glenna Woody Viereck of Louisianna; a son, Ron "Rocky" Moore of Canton; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Revord officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of 52 Penland Street in Canton.
