Drami Stepp

"1948 ~ 2018"

Canton - Drami Lee Webb Stepp, 69, passed bravely and gently to her heavenly family on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston Salem. She is now dancing in heaven with her loved ones.

A native of Muskegon, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Mabel Pace Webb. In Drami's elementary years, time was spent traveling and living in many United States locations with her father's job. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stepp, Jr., who died in 2014; a grandson, Logan Rayburn; and a sister, Judy Grubb. Drami lived most of her adult life in the Cruso Community of Haywood County. One of her favorite ways to serve her community was to transport dance teams during their participation in the Folkmoot Festival.

Drami touched many lives with her wit and humor, making any time spent together fun. Every member of her family held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by a son, Anthony Wayne "Tony" Rayburn and wife, Glenna, of Hillsville, Virginia; four sisters, Juanita Watson, (John), of Brevard, Joyce Birchfield, (Grady), of Canton, Loretta Warwick, (Ronnie), and Sharon Drake Reece (James), all of Brevard; one brother, Carroll Webb and wife, Linda, of Hendersonville; one grandson, Talon Rayburn of Candler; her Australian Shepherd "Nik-Nik" and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Shelly Webb officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Thank you to the many doctors and nurses at Wake Forest Medical Center and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Center for their compassion, care and concern, especially the gentle compassionate heart of Dr. Patwa, ENT Surgeon, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
