Bobby Southerland

Clyde, Bobby Southerland, Sr., age 72, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James Perry and Annie Mae Burgess Southerland. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Steve Worley; brothers, Walter and Jim Southerland; and sister, Hazel Herron. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam era. He formerly worked with A.C. Lawrence for nineteen years and Evergreen for seventeen years. Bobby was a member of Camp Branch Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, camping, gardening, trading and bartering.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Wyatt Southerland; two sons, Bobby Southerland, Jr. and Frank Southerland; four sisters, Daisy, Wilma, Eva and Tulia; three brothers, Carl and Floyd Southerland and Billy Brown; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Private graveside services will be held and at other times the family will be at the home, 101 Sellars Street, Clyde.
