Obituary for Betty Little

Canton – Betty Ruth Morrow Little, age 85, passed away on March 21, 2018 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Morrow, Sr. and Elsie McCracken Morrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant twin sisters; two sisters, Dorothy Morrow and Peggy Nations; and a brother, Clarence Morrow, Jr.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Canton High School. After graduating she trained as a laboratory and x-ray technician. Betty later joined the original care staff of what was later known as the Canton Nursing Home. Betty eventually trained as a LPN, scoring the highest on the state license examination, and remained at the nursing home until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Randolph and her husband, Gary, of Nebo, NC, and Rebecca Walker of Waynesville; a son, Samuel Little of Marion, NC; one stepdaughter, Irene Savell and her husband, Cliff, Leesville, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Morning Star Community Cemetery with the Reverend Nicole Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
